We are looking for a motivated and dependable Production Operative / Machine Operator to join our specialist electrical and mechanical process plant on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on, practical role ideal for someone who enjoys structured processes, working to targets, and being part of a supportive team.
You will complete initial training on day shifts before transitioning to a fixed night shift (18:00–06:00, Monday–Thursday). This position offers long-term security, career development, and an excellent pathway to increased earnings following successful completion of your probationary period.
Key Responsibilities Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out routine production tasks and following established procedures
Preparing and setting equipment in line with company requirements
Monitoring each stage of the production process and maintaining consistent output quality
Using hand tools to inspect and quality-check your own work
Accurately completing documentation and following SOPs
Supporting basic machine upkeep and safe handling of raw metallic materials
Contributing to efficient workflow and maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment
Person Profile We are seeking someone who:
Has strong attention to detail and good communication skills
Is reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
Can follow written and verbal instructions confidently
Is comfortable working to targets and contributing to team success
Has previous experience as a Production Operative (ideally 6–12 months+)
Is accustomed to working night shifts and comfortable with longer, compressed shifts
Hours & Pay
Hours: 18:00–06:00, Monday to Thursday (1-hour lunch break per shift)
Starting Rate: £13.97 per hour
Pay Increase: Immediate increase upon successful completion of probation
Earning Potential: £15+ per hour once fully trained
