🔧 The Role As an Intermediate Temporary Works Design Engineer, you’ll play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative temporary works designs for a wide range of construction projects. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and senior engineers to produce high-quality design solutions across:
- Excavation support
- Falsework and formwork
- Access systems
- Propping and façade retention
- Groundworks and structural temporary solutions
📌 Responsibilities- Produce temporary works design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop designs and ensure full compliance with industry standards
- Carry out technical checks and site visits as required
- Provide engineering support to contractors and internal teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design function
🎓 About You- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
- 2–5 years’ experience in temporary works or structural design
- Strong understanding of construction processes and temporary works principles
- Proficient in engineering software (e.g., Tekla, CAD, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
