🔧 The Role

As an Intermediate Temporary Works Design Engineer, you’ll play a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative temporary works designs for a wide range of construction projects. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and senior engineers to produce high-quality design solutions across:
  • Excavation support
  • Falsework and formwork
  • Access systems
  • Propping and façade retention
  • Groundworks and structural temporary solutions
📌 Responsibilities
  • Produce temporary works design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Work closely with senior engineers to develop designs and ensure full compliance with industry standards
  • Carry out technical checks and site visits as required
  • Provide engineering support to contractors and internal teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design function
🎓 About You
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
  • 2–5 years’ experience in temporary works or structural design
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and temporary works principles
  • Proficient in engineering software (e.g., Tekla, CAD, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, team-focused approach
