Job Description

Pertemps Network Group are delighted to be assisting a well-established and reputable housing provider in London, for a Compliance Manager to deliver high-quality landlord services across a diverse housing portfolio, including social rent, shared ownership, and housing services. Salary: Up to £52,700 per annum + excellent benefits
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)


Job Purpose:

As Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation meets all statutory landlord compliance obligations across its housing stock. You will provide leadership and oversight of compliance programmes, ensuring all statutory testing, certification, and health and safety requirements are met. This includes areas such as gas safety, water hygiene, asbestos, electrical safety, fire safety, and lifts/LOLER.

This role is critical in protecting residents, managing organisational risk, and maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Monitor, plan, and manage statutory compliance servicing programmes to ensure delivery within required timeframes and standards.
  • Manage and oversee compliance contractors and suppliers, ensuring performance, quality, and value for money.
  • Verify completed compliance works and carry out post-inspection audits to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a robust compliance framework across the housing portfolio.
  • Keep up to date with legislative, regulatory, and policy changes and advise senior management on implications for service delivery.
  • Support the development and review of health & safety, compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assist with budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting relating to compliance activities.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Extensive knowledge of statutory compliance within social housing, including key risk areas such as gas, water, asbestos, electrical, fire safety, and lifts/LOLER.
  • Proven experience in a compliance, building safety, or risk management role within housing or a similar regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret legislation and implement practical, compliant solutions.
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to lead and embed compliance frameworks within a multi-disciplinary environment.
