Trade Sales Manager – Automotive Parts

Brentwood, Essex
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per year
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Trade Sales Manager to lead a fast-paced B2B sales team, drive growth, and build long-term relationships with professional customers, including workshops, specialists, and performance garages. This role suits someone comfortable in a high-pressure, KPI-driven environment with frequent outbound activity and strict margin control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the Trade Sales Team, monitoring performance and KPIs
  • Drive daily sales to achieve monthly revenue targets
  • Strengthen relationships with existing trade customers and onboard new ones
  • Oversee outbound activity, quoting, account management, and margin control
  • Ensure team adherence to internal processes, SOPs, and credit procedures
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in Trade Sales, B2B Account Management, or Sales Management
  • Background in automotive, aftermarket parts, industrial supply, wholesale, or similar trade-driven sectors
  • Experience leading teams in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Strong commercial awareness — understands margins, pricing, stock flow, and processes
  • Highly organised, detail-driven, and able to make quick decisions
  • Comfortable with occasional weekend work for automotive events or car shows
Key Skills:
  • Strong leadership with ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage KPIs, targets, and daily structured activity
