We are supporting a major defence training provider in the recruitment of a Ship Control Instructor. This role plays a vital part in developing Royal Navy personnel at key submarine training facility near Helensburgh.
You will use your expertise in Astute-class submarine control systems to deliver world class training, directly contributing to operational readiness and the safety of the UK’s submarine fleet.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver specialist ship control training using advanced simulation facilities
Support trainees at varying competency levels
Provide SME input into training design and programme updates
Review technical data and respond to change requirements
Ensure training quality, compliance, and performance standards are met
Experience Required:
Strong operational knowledge of submarine control room activities
Served within the Royal Navy Submarine Service
Experience managing control systems operations
Instructional experience (advantageous)
Recent Astute-class experience (desirable)
Qualifications:
Senior Rating or Warrant Officer background
DTC / DTTT qualification is beneficial
Security Requirements
Applicants must be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance in line with UK Government criteria.
