Job Description
This independent Fire Alarm, Security and Structured Data Cabling installation company based in Central London are looking to recruit a Senior Project BDM to drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, while ensuring the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion in conjunction with the installation/projects department. This hybrid role combines strategic sales activities with an element of hands-on project management, requiring strong technical understanding, client relationship skills, and commercial acumen. The position involves developing tailored solutions, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and overseeing project execution to meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives.
Responsibilities include:
• Achieve a personal and annual am sales target.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and tenders aligned with client requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure profitable outcomes for the business.
• Oversee projects from initial lead, tender process through to the win stages ensuring all internal stakeholders receive a comprehensive handover.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery on tender documents.
• Ensure solutions meet client needs and comply with relevant standards.
• Prepare accurate costings and manage margin expectations.
• Act as the main point of contact throughout the project sales lifecycle.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
Applicants will need proven business development skills in selling installation projects within the fire and security industry, managing the sales process from start to finish, including overseeing the client relationship during the whole process, and building on these relationships to secure further orders. This exciting opportunity comes with a basic salary to £70,000 plus bonus/commission, car allowance, 25 days annual leave and other benefits.
