An established claimant-side law firm is seeking an experienced Public / Administrative Law Solicitor to take on a senior leadership role heading its Public Law team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior solicitor or existing head of department to lead a specialist practice handling complex, high-impact public law work, including judicial review proceedings, education and social care matters, public service challenges, and inquests or inquiries.
The Opportunity
- Lead and develop a specialist public law team
- Manage complex public law and judicial review cases, including High Court proceedings
- Play a key role in the strategic growth of the department
- Ensure high standards of compliance and quality, including legal aid requirements
- Maintain excellent client care and professional standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Substantial experience in public and administrative law
- Strong track record in judicial review litigation
- Good working knowledge of legal aid funding and compliance
- Leadership or supervisory experience, or readiness to step into a leadership role
- Confident communicator with a claimant-focused approach
