Refrigeration & Air Conditioning PPM Maintenance Engineer Salary: £38,000 per annum Location: Cambridge Job Type: Full-time, Permanent My client is a long-established and successful contractor in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning. They are seeking a proactive, reliable Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a major site in Cambridge. This role is ideal for an engineer who is confident with planned preventative maintenance and routine service work, with occasional support on reactive breakdowns. Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF units, water chillers and associated equipment.
Diagnose faults, repair equipment where possible, or recommend appropriate remedial action.
Complete all required paperwork and service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Work independently or as part of a small onsite team.
Participate in the emergency call-out rota (one allocated day per week under the site rota system).
Qualifications Essential:
City & Guilds 2079 (F-Gas)
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
18th Edition Electrical
IPAF
PASMA
Experience & Skills
Good experience working on a broad range of air-conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF).
Experience with refrigeration systems, including water chillers.
Strong fault-finding ability and good general electrical knowledge.
Excellent communication skills—both customer-facing and written.
Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
