A small, specialistĀ SEMH school near HayesĀ is seeking a compassionate and resilientĀ Behaviour Mentor / Pastoral and Learning Support Assistant.

The school supports students aged 5-16Ā withĀ social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)Ā needs and associated challenging behaviours. With a strong focus onĀ therapeutic, restorative approaches, the school helps students thriveĀ academically, socially, and emotionally, creating an environment where they can feel safe, valued, and capable of success.

This is a fantastic opportunity forĀ graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology, or for anyone considering careers inĀ probation, youth justice, social work, or mental health support.

As aĀ Behaviour Mentor / Pastoral and Learning Support Assistant, you will:
  • šŸ¤ BuildĀ positive, trusting relationshipsĀ with students who are disengaged or at risk of exclusion.
  • šŸ’¬ Support students’ social and emotional development through restorative approaches.
  • 🌈 Promote engagement, attendance, and confidence in learning.
  • 🧠 Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver targeted interventions.
  • šŸ›”ļø Provide stability and consistency for students who have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
  • šŸ’” Model empathy, respect, and resilience every day.

This role offers hands-on, restorative experience that isĀ invaluable for careers in probation, rehabilitation, prison, or youth justice services.

  • No previous experience required,Ā full training and CPD provided.
