The school supports pupils aged 7–18 with a wide range of ability levels and additional learning needs, including complex SEN, medical needs, communication difficulties, and developmental delays. Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a wide range of needs and abilities
Differentiate effectively for learners with complex SEN and diverse learning profiles
Work closely with therapists, support staff and the SENCO to deliver holistic support
Create a nurturing, structured and motivating learning environment
Contribute to EHCP reviews, progress reports and personalised learning plans
Promote independence, communication and positive social development
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching pupils with SEN, preferably in a special school or complex needs setting
Strong understanding of autism, PMLD, SLD, and other developmental needs
Skilled in behaviour support, differentiation and multi-sensory teaching approaches
Calm, compassionate and able to build strong, trusting relationships
Able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
