Physiotherapist – Intermediate Care (ICS)
Location: Blakenall Village, Thames Road, Walsall, WS3 1LZ
Team: ICS Walsall Council 
Contract: Full Time – 37 hours per week
Duration: Until March 2026
Rate: £31 per hour 

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Integrated Care System (ICS) in Walsall, working across both Walsall Council and NHS services. This is a long-term opportunity within a well-established Intermediate Care team.

The Role:
You will work across all pathways of Intermediate Care, including reablement, rapid response, and rehabilitation beds, supporting patients to maximise independence and prevent unnecessary hospital admissions. The role requires flexibility to work across community and bed-based settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver physiotherapy assessments and interventions across Intermediate Care pathways
  • Support rehabilitation and reablement to promote independence and safe discharge
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including health and social care professionals
  • Contribute to rapid response and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with service requirements
Essential Requirements:
  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Community physiotherapy experience (essential)
  • Post-graduate experience (preferred due to the complexity of the caseload)
  • Experience within rehabilitation or intermediate care settings (highly desirable)
