Tribunal and Complaints Officer – SEND Location: Liverpool
Hours: 35 hours per week
Rate: £55.16 per hour
Working Pattern: Hybrid working – 1 day per week on site
Contract: Interim / short-term assignment
Reducing the number of
SEND complaints and tribunals is a corporate priority. We are seeking an
experienced Tribunal and Complaints Officer to provide interim, specialist support to help clear a backlog of complaints and tribunal cases within SEND.
This role is a
short-term interim post, providing additional capacity and expertise. It is not anticipated to become a long-term or permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing and progressing SEND complaints and tribunal cases
- Supporting the resolution of complex complaints in line with statutory guidance
- Preparing documentation and evidence for tribunal proceedings
- Working closely with internal teams, legal services and external partners
- Contributing to the reduction of complaint and tribunal backlogs
- Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and best practice
Essential Requirements:- Proven track record in SEND complaints and tribunal processes
- Strong working knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory guidance
- Ability to manage complex casework independently and to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a local authority or similar setting
