Join a Major Steel Processing Company in the Heart of Dudley

Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer seeking a stable role within a leading heavy engineering and steel processing environment? Our client is expanding their maintenance team and looking for a driven, hands-on engineer who can thrive in a fast-paced production setting.

The Role:

• Deliver both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown support across plant and equipment.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and professionally.
• Complete daily shift reports and all necessary paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and the wider engineering team.

General Duties:

• Maintenance and fault-finding on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• General welding and fabrication
• Oxy/acetylene cutting and burning
• Bench fitting
• Operation of forklifts, cherry pickers, and overhead cranes (OHC) - training given

Experience & Qualifications Required:

• Completed apprenticeship / time-served mechanic (preferred)
• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance
• Experience within slitting / de-coiling environments is a strong advantage
• Previous maintenance experience in heavy industry or steel processing desirable
